There had been some talk for the past week about KLM leaving Miami but it is now official. Here's a copy of the article. Followed by a small slide show of the different MD-11 registrations that came here to Miami.

KLM is the only full one year on the direct route to Miami. The city in Florida in March of this year added to the schedule, but at the end March 2012, the direct flights stopped. The line is not profitable and the outlook is not good, as confirmed by KLM on Tuesday Luchtvaartnieuws.nl .

Not just Miami, but Milan Malpensa disappears from the schedule of KLM. Monday was already clear that at the end of March the KLM route to Liverpool lifted.
A spokesman for KLM applies to all three scheduled services to the clientele disappointing. In addition, the company assesses the routes sharper because of the dark economic clouds on the horizon.
KLM hoped to both Miami and sun worshipers to attract business travelers. Since June is ArkeFly on the active route, which is primarily aimed at holidaymakers. The airline does TUI Netherlands to Miami with Orlando.
Milan remains a destination of KLM. The airline also flies to Milan Linate, the second airport of the city in northern Italy.
Travelers a ticket to one of three destinations bought by KLM rebooked. Who in the summer would fly directly to Miami, can travel through Atlanta. Passengers who had planned to Liverpool and Milan Malpensa to fly, in its place, respectively, to Manchester and Milan Linate. KLM passengers can reclaim their money.
KLM also announced Tuesday at the end of March the number of flights to Houston to reduce from two to one per day.
